BogMan on Bed Bugs...

Hey, all of you bed bug fans: remember the old saying: Sleep tight and don’t let
the bed bugs bite? Came from Colonial times: tighten the ropes that held the
straw mattress up and cover the straw with something, actually anything would
be better than nothing! Bed bugs have been around along time.

Right now the bed bugs are the media rage, the little creatures are everywhere! I
guess you heard that the Waldorf Astoria in New York is alleged to have bed bugs!
The level of the hotel (as determined by price of the your stay in the hotel) has
nothing to do with the presence of Bed Bugs. Affectionately known as BB’s the
little monsters are prolific, no actually, the bed bugs are beyond fruitful and can
totally take over your home within 2-3 weeks. Usually when you find the bugs you
have a very serious problem. Generally the bed bugs inhabit the box springs; but
they also like baseboards (they get in behind the wood), picture frames and of
course clothing and bedding.

If you think you have bed bugs call for help (www.bladesofGreen.com).

This week, in Doonesbury, Gary Trudeau is doing series on the dreaded Bed Bugs.
Should be an interesting take on the current media darlings!

Bed bugs are very difficult to get out of a house. Lots of reasons: mobile society
is one of the most prevalent reasons the bugs are in your home in the first place.
They do bite but fortunately carry no diseases (yet!!).
